After studying mechanical engineering technology and working as a design engineer in the family business, Jason gained an extensive knowledge in metal fabrication. He also realized that he had inherited unique artistic abilities from his mother. His education, experience, artistic interests coupled with an innate reverence for God’s creations, especially wildlife, has led to Jason's development of a new division of his family’s business which he has aptly named HartCrafters.

Jason has a unique ability to bring light and life to his creations as evidenced by the vivid colors in his metal art work. These colors are not a result of painting but rather a unique proprietary process of heating metals to achieve certain colors.
